Key Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and review health & safety policies and procedures. Ensure permit applications comply with site zones, British standards, and environmental regulations along with site risk assessments Ensure compliance with relevant health & safety legislation and industry standards. Coordinate with health and safety team, construction team, and other departments to facilitate the permit approval process Collaborate with different departments to promote a safe working environment. Keep up to date with new health & safety regulations and industry best practices. Maintain records of inspections, audits, and safety compliance reports. Act as the point of contact for regulatory bodies and external auditors. Support the development of emergency response and evacuation procedures. Key Requirements: Degree/Diploma/NVQ in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field. NEBOSH/IOSH/ certification (or equivalent) preferred. Proven experience in a health & safety advisory role along with permitting procedures. Strong knowledge of health & safety legislation and best practices. Excellent communication and ability to work with multiple contractors. Ability to conduct risk assessments and audits effectively. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and report writing. Preferred Skills: Experience in large scale industrial construction. Ability to work with contractors and other key members of staff.
