We are looking for experienced, motivated, flexible and enthusiastic day/night shift staff to join our team, to provide care and support to individuals living with dementia and customers on the intermediate care units. You will be required to follow individual care plans, and risk assessments.
You will contribute towards the monitoring and assessment of service users plans, reviews and assessment of risks ensuring compliance with organisational policies and procedures in line with Care Quality Commission Essential Standards of Quality and Safety.
You will work with the team to provide sensitive care and guidance to service users in areas of personal care, daily living, health, social integration, and emotional support.
To undertake personal tasks required by individual residents in line with their assessed need and plan of care during the night.
Undertake general housekeeping duties to maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the home and premises, within night time procedures.
To administer and support residents with medication; safe handling of medication training will be required to be undertaken, to maintain appropriate records, identify risks and implement risk assessments.
To show respect for and preserve the privacy and dignity of individual service users.
To undertake regular safety and security checks on all likely hazards throughout the building such as switching off appliances, ensuring all windows and doors are secure and appropriate lighting is in operation, immediate action in case of emergency arising during the night period such as accidents, illness, death, fire or other security incidents.
Prepare light refreshments to meet individual resident’s needs or requests.
The post holder will be required to work on a shift Rota-basis, including weekends, bank holidays and Christmas working where enhancements are paid. Enhancements will also be paid for working night duty.
Additional hours to cover leave as required.
