Location: To be based in either Wales or West Midlands (Role will cover both areas)

Salary: £48,238 per annum based on 35 hours per week

What will a day in the life of a Psychosocial Practitioner look like? You'll:
1. Enhance trauma-informed mental health and psychosocial support across our workforce and beneficiaries by collaborating with colleagues delivering services.
2. Boost area capacity in trauma-informed mental health and psychosocial support through group sessions, 1-to-1 sessions, and direct interactions.
3. Capture and share psychosocial support best practices and learning, becoming a knowledge hub.
4. Oversee staff and volunteer management, including supervising trainee clinical psychologists or other professionals.
5. Monitor and report on resources delivering well-being sessions for the workforce.
To be a successful Psychosocial Practitioner, you'll need:
1. Relevant qualification (e.g., Postgraduate Degree) in a field related to psychosocial support (Clinical Psychology, Psychiatry, Psychotherapy, Social Work, etc.).
2. Meet the requirements for HCPC or equivalent professional registration.
3. Established work experience post-receiving the relevant professional qualification (e.g., service development in voluntary or statutory sector, within the U.K. or abroad).
4. Proficiency in trauma reactions, mental health issues, and handling complex situations involving staff/volunteer welfare.
5. Track record of influencing senior professionals within NHS or similar environments.
6. Demonstrated capability in providing clinical supervision.
7. Experience leading staff support provision or developing well-being systems.
8. Thorough understanding of psychosocial support's evidence base and clinical applications.
9. Familiarity with psychosocial support concerns, including self-harm, suicidal ideation, and distressed clients.
