The Facilities Technician is responsible for ensuring that all maintenance checks are completed according to schedule, and maintaining a high quality, safe environment for residents, staff and visitors to the home.
The Facilities Technician will carry out repairs and maintenance, including basic electrical work and plumbing, preparation and redecoration of rooms.
The Facilities Technician will supervise service engineers and contractors required to visit the home, identify when repairs to the home are required and replacements to equipment are required. Training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
1. Actively promote a positive attitude to health and safety within the home.
2. Understand and fulfil responsibilities of the Facilities Technician role in relation to the Health and Safety at Work Act.
3. Manage and complete all work and responsibilities as specified in the Health and Safety policy.
4. Completion and recording of all daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual checks as set out in the maintenance manual, and ad hoc checks as required.
