Safran Seats, a division of Safran, specializes in First and Business Class seating for wide-body aircraft, focusing on innovation, quality, and industrial design. The UK-based teams are located in Cwmbran, Newport, Wales, and Brackley, England. The role involves providing technical support, project management, and collaboration across engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
* Lead the Quality Compliance Team and oversee a team of Quality Auditors.
* Interact cross-functionally and with executive management on Quality Management System issues.
* Maintain regular contact with customers and regulatory bodies regarding quality issues.
* Lead BMS system projects within the Safran Group.
* Focal point for Safety Management System (SMS) requirements.
Candidate Requirements:
* Degree or equivalent in Engineering/Manufacturing discipline.
* Knowledge of Lean / 6 Sigma and improvement tools.
* In-depth knowledge of Aerospace Regulations (EASA, FAA, AS9100).
* Experience with 8D analysis, risk analysis, and dealing with regulatory authorities.
* Preferred qualifications include AS9100 Lead Assessor, EASA Part 21/145, FAA 145 auditor.
* Proficient in MS Office and problem-solving skills.
* Leadership or management qualification.
