The Development Officer is critical to and will support on the important “Families’ Forum Plus” project, which builds on the work already achieved by families and staff in HMP Swansea.
As Development Officer you will support on all aspects of this exciting new project working closely with families affected by imprisonment in and around HMP Swansea. The role is instrumental to the project’s success and combines service delivery with the opportunity to work collaboratively and creatively with families, the prison and key external agencies including schools, social services and Swansea Crown Court.
About You:
We're looking for a true all-rounder who will come into this role and shine. You may or may not have experience of working in the criminal justice system, but what you will have is a real commitment to the work we're trying to do to improve outcomes for prisoners and their families. You should be highly organised with strong admin and IT skills and have a good understanding of volunteering. You will also have knowledge of safeguarding, health and safety, and data security, and understand the importance of professional boundaries in an environment like this.
