Sigma Central Job Role: IT Service Manager Pay Range: Local Government Scale 7 Points 19-24 Actual Salary from: £31,067 - £34,314 per annum Start Date: As soon as possible Hours: 37 hours per week, 52.14 weeks per year The Role As part of the central IT team, this new role will ensure that all staff and students within the Trusts Primary Schools and Initial Teacher Training Scheme will have access to high-quality, proactive IT support, across multiple sites. This role will support four primary schools and various remote sites throughout the Tendring and Colchester areas and will require travel to these locations. The IT Service Manager will work within the framework of the Trust’s IT Technical Standards and will be a valued member of the Trusts IT staffing structure. This role requires excellent communication skills, some technical expertise, and the ability to meet the diverse needs of multiple schools within Sigma. Due to the nature of this role, the postholder must maintain a solid understanding of multiple school-based software programs, exhibit a friendly and supportive demeanor, and be prepared to travel to multiple sites. Some of your key responsibilities will include: To support staff and students with the use of ICT including online support, and assisting with staff and student training where appropriate. To support staff and students with the set-up and preparation of ICT equipment. Report any detected breach of the school’s ICT acceptable use policy to the relevant Manager.
