Mentoring staff such as Newly Qualified Paramedics, Emergency Medical Technicians and Emergency Care Assistants. Providing lifesaving treatment and stabilising patients, preparing them for transporting. Using your own appropriate knowledge and skills to make judgements and treatment following your level of training and competency. Responding to operational requirements in a safe and efficient way as directed by the Emergency Operations Centre. Driving all types of approved Ambulance Service vehicles under normal and emergency (blue light) conditions in accordance with road traffic law. Role Requirements: Hold a UK manual ‘Category B’ driving licence for at least 1 years and no more than 3 points on your licence, as well as being over the age of 23 (for insurance purposes). ·You will hold a paramedic qualification, be on the HCPC register and hold an emergency driving qualification. Physical fitness is important in this role as there is sometimes a requirement to reach inaccessible patients in a hurry, carry out manual handling and CPR. Have a warm and caring personality with the ability to connect with people. Lastly, you will have quality references covering the last three years of employment history and a satisfactory, enhanced DBS check.
