Role Overview: As a Primary Graduate Teaching Assistant (GRAD TA), you will work closely with class teachers to support the academic and personal development of primary school students. This role offers valuable classroom experience and the chance to make a real difference in the lives of young learners. Key Responsibilities: Assist teachers in delivering engaging and interactive lessons across different primary year groups. Provide one-to-one or small-group support to help students achieve their learning goals. Support students with varying needs, including SEN, ensuring an inclusive and nurturing classroom environment. Assist small-group and one-to-one interventions to help students with literacy, numeracy and social development. Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff. Assist with classroom organisation, resource preparation and behaviour management. Foster positive relationships with students to encourage their confidence and enthusiasm for learning. Requirements of the Primary Graduate Teaching Assistant: A degree in Education, Psychology, Child Development, or a related field (preferred but not essential). Previous experience working with children in an educational, childcare, or mentoring capacity (desirable). A genuine passion for education and a commitment to supporting young learners. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with pupils and staff. Patience, resilience and adaptability in a fast-paced classroom environment. A proactive and enthusiastic approach to learning and professional development. Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one). What does GSL Education Offer?
