What you will do in your working day
You will have access to a wide range of accountancy experience and in-house training while also completing your AAT studies. You will learn about all aspects of accounting as well as skills related to how businesses work.
Main job duties will include:
* Bookkeeping using the latest computerised accounting software.
* Accounts data entry and analysis.
* VAT return preparation.
* Accounts preparation.
* Personal tax return data entry.
* Company secretarial processes.
* Liaising with clients.
* General office duties.
* Practice and HMRC administration.
You will work towards the highly recognised AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) qualification with a full study and support package.
Delivering a personal service to clients is key to this practice and you will have everyday contact with clients and prospects.
The training you will be getting
The applicant will train under First Intuition Cambridge for their level 3 Assistant Accountant qualification. They will be expected to attend regular in-centre tuition courses throughout a 12 - 14-month period which will help develop their knowledge, skills and behaviours in accountancy-related practices. First Intuition Cambridge Ltd has Cambridge, Norwich, Ipswich, and Peterborough centres.
What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship
Upon successful completion of the Level 4 AAT syllabus, there is scope to move up to the Level 7 ACA or ACCA qualification.
