You will be providing a comprehensive reception and administration service for clients, visitors, clinical and non-clinical staff.
The reception covers the clinics listed below -o Antenatal Clinico Early Pregnancy Clinico Ultrasound Clinico Postnatal Clinic

Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for the organisation of their own workload and delegated decisions/actions and to work flexibly within the multidisciplinary team. The needs of the service user will be the utmost priority. The principle of high quality customer care is at the heart of this role. The post holder will be required to book and outcome appointments. To maintain clinic lists electronically using the Medway System and CRIS. In addition, to acknowledge referrals from Community Midwives and book appointments as appropriate.

Person Specification
Knowledge & Experience
Essential
1. Previous experience in a healthcare or public setting
2. Clerical/administration experience including filing and/or reception
3. Experience of dealing with the public, both on the telephone and in person
Desirable
4. Previous NHS experience
5. Experience of using a Patient Administration System
Skills & Abilities
Essential
6. Effective and polite manner when dealing with people, both face to face and on the phone
7. Flexible approach to duties
8. Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines whilst maintaining a high standard of accuracy
9. Proven good organisational skills
10. Good IT skills including Microsoft packages
11. Confidence to handle difficult conversations with patients, relatives and carers
12. Attention to detail
13. Ability to work effectively in a busy team, adjust to change and motivate others
14. Initiative, if required

15. Working knowledge of outpatient policies and procedures.
Qualifications & Training

16. Educated to GCSE, grade C or above (or equivalent) in English Language and Maths
