We are seeking a dynamic and highly organised Senior Social Media Co-Ordinator to join our team. This individual will be responsible for curating all aspects of our social media strategy, from content creation to audience engagement, ensuring that our brand is consistently represented across various platforms. As the Senior Social Media Co-Ordinator, you will be responsible for curating and managing content across all social channels including Instagram, TikTok and Facebook, as well as ensuring we are optimising performance, and engaging with our community to build brand awareness and drive engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media Management
1. Content Curation: Work with the Head of Content to understand and execute a comprehensive social media strategy for platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, and other emerging platforms. Ensure content aligns with the overall brand messaging and audience preferences.
2. Content Scheduling & Posting: Plan and schedule daily, weekly, and monthly posts using social media management tools (e.g. Later). Maintain an optimal posting frequency based on platform and audience insights.
3. Trend Monitoring & Adaptation: Stay up to date with social media trends, algorithms, and platform updates, adjusting content strategies accordingly to maximise reach and engagement.
Content Management
1. Content Library Organisation: Manage and store all content (photos, videos, graphics, etc.) in an organised and accessible way (e.g., Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.) to ensure efficient retrieval and use by the team.
2. Content Audit: Regularly audit the content to ensure that all assets are up-to-date, consistent with brand guidelines, and compliant with copyright and usage regulations.
3. Content Repurposing: Adapt existing content for different social media platforms to optimise performance across channels, such as turning TikToks into Instagram Reels or Twitter threads into LinkedIn posts.
Content Creation
1. Shoot Planning & Execution: Work collaboratively with relevant stakeholders to plan, organise, and execute photo and video shoots to create original content for social media. Collaborate with relevant stakeholders for shoot direction and creative vision.
2. Content Proficiency: Be proficient in photography, videography, and editing (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, Lightroom, etc.) to produce high-quality visual content that aligns with brand standards.
3. On-Camera Participation: Be comfortable in front of the camera for content creation, including participating in TikToks, Instagram Reels, and other video formats.
4. Creativity & Innovation: Stay ahead of trends and continuously bring new, creative ideas to content production that will resonate with the audience.
5. Copywriting & Script Development: Write compelling captions, blog posts, and scripts for video content that capture the brand voice and connect with the audience.
Audience Engagement
1. Community Interaction: Monitor and engage with all comments, direct messages (DMs), mentions, and community interactions across social media platforms.
2. Brand Advocacy: Foster positive community relationships by responding to inquiries, resolving issues, and encouraging authentic interactions between the brand and its followers.
3. Customer Service Integration: Work closely with customer service teams to address customer inquiries or concerns raised on social media platforms in a timely and professional manner.
Performance Optimisation & Reporting
1. Analytics Monitoring: Monitor weekly social engagement to provide feedback to the Head of Content for weekly social performance reviews.
2. A/B Testing: Test different content formats, captions, and posting times to optimise engagement and performance.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
1. Content Calendar Management: Feed into the monthly content calendar, ensuring all posts are planned, approved, and scheduled in advance.
2. Curation and Execution: Daily social posting and fore-planning for grid, stories, TikTok.
3. Content Curation: Shoot additional content where necessary to fit into social grid planning and e-comm needs.
4. Collaborative Teamwork: Work closely with the brands team, external freelancers i.e graphic designers, copywriters, and other stakeholders to ensure cohesive campaigns across all channels.
5. Brand Voice Consistency: Ensure all content adheres to the brand's tone, messaging, and aesthetic, maintaining consistency across all channels.
Qualifications & Skills
1. Experience: Proven experience as a Social Media Co-Ordinator or similar role (2+ years preferred).
2. Proficiency: Skilled in photography, videography, and content editing. Familiarity with tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and social media management tools (e.g. Later).
3. Social Media Expertise: Deep understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, trends, and best practices for audience engagement.
4. Creative Vision: Ability to think outside the box and generate fresh, engaging content ideas that resonate with diverse audiences.
5. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages and respond to community inquiries professionally.
6. Time Management: Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
7. Analytical Mindset: Comfort with tracking and analysing social media metrics to optimise content and campaigns.
8. Flexibility: Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
