We're looking for a friendly, organised and dedicated Activities Organiser who is seeking a rewarding job within one of our care homes. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing regular organised activities for all residents. These include a variety of social activities such as bingo, singing, sensory equipment and organised local day trips.
You'll already have experience of working within a residential setting and previous experience of organising activities within this setting would be advantageous for this role. You'll be a confident and enthusiastic individual with a caring nature and the ability to build positive relationships with residents.
You must have a full UK driving licence and be comfortable to drive a minibus for weekly outings (full minibus training will be provided).
This is a rewarding and dynamic role with duties split between planning and providing the activities for our residents, managing budgets and general administration tasks, so as a minimum basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel would be required to carry out this role effectively.
This is a permanent role, working 16 hours per week.
The hours of work for this role are 3 shifts per week, and will include both weekdays and weekends. 5 hour shifts x 2 and one 6 hour shift between 10:00am and 4:00pm. Working pattern will also include one early start every other week and one late night every other month.

Cwmbran House Care Home is a purpose-built single-storey care home for over 65s in Pontnewydd, Cwmbran. It has 56 bedrooms across three separate living areas. We focus on giving a great quality of life to our residents, whatever their abilities and needs are.
