Sewell Wallis are pleased to partner with a Chartered Accountants in Goole looking for a new Accounts Assistant to join their growing team! This company is well established in the area with over a 100+ years of practice, predominately working with owner-managed businesses across the UK. Their ethos revolves around building strong relationships with clients that last!
The role is full time hours, working within the small business accounts and VAT department. You'll have a varied workload with a mixed portfolio of sole traders, partnerships and small limited companies.
What will you be doing?
* Bookkeeping.
* VAT returns.
* Accounts Preparation.
* Personal and Corporation tax.
* Tax returns (self-assessment and company).
What skills are we looking for?
* AAT qualified or significant experience in a similar role.
* Excellent IT skills, including Excel, ideally with exposure to Xero, SAGE, and QuickBooks.
* Strong knowledge and experience with accounts preparation and bookkeeping.
* Understanding of how to prepare Tax returns.

* Offering between £28,000-£32,000 depending on experience.
