Job Description – CNC Machinist Texo Recruitment are seeking for a skilled CNC Machinist (Turner/Setter/Programmer) to join our dynamic and growing client based in Cupar, Fife. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with expertise in precision engineering and a passion for high-quality machining. The role offers the chance to start immediately, with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent position after a successful probationary period. Main Responsibilities: Set up and operate CNC turning machines to manufacture small precision parts, ensuring adherence to technical specifications. Programme, set up, and operate CNC turning machines, including DMG MORI, HURCO, and similar models. Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine machining needs and processes. Choose and install appropriate tooling, cutting tools, and fixtures for each job. Monitor machine performance during operation, making necessary adjustments to optimise production. Inspect finished components for accuracy and quality, utilising precision measuring instruments. Conduct routine maintenance on machinery to maintain peak performance. Keep workstations tidy and organised to promote a safe working environment. Skills and Experience Required: Demonstrable experience as a CNC Turner/Setter/Programmer. Proficiency with CNC Turning Centres, especially NLX 2500-700 and NLX 2000-500. Experience in producing small, precision parts with tight tolerances (down to 0.005). Ability to programme and set up machines, with conversational programming knowledge. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow technical drawings accurately. Strong focus on producing high-quality, precise work.
