About Us:
Originally based in London but now across the UK, Equipment Connect is a growing fintech focused on equipment leasing. We believe that small businesses should be able to source, finance and manage equipment without hassle. To this end, we have developed a marketplace and integrated web app that allows equipment to be financed and managed in a fully digital, fully integrated, convenient manner and we have now onboarded 48 equipment vendors.
The company recently secured close to £6M of debt funding, is closing a fresh equity round and has been backed by Techstars, Barclays and Innovate UK.
Our Tech:
The Equipment Connect platform is a web application built with PHP (on the Laravel framework) and we are migrating data intensive and credit functionality to a Python back end. On the front end we use VueJS to ensure a dynamic and solid user interaction.
Our BETA stage platform is in continuous development and we have an ambitious product and tech roadmap for 2022 including the roll-out of a mobile app.
How we work:
Our development process employs best practice including TDD and CI. We document as we go and communication is fluid across the team using Slack, Github boards and other tools. We work closely with our Product and Business teams to ensure minimum friction and successful delivery.
