What you will do in your working day
Repair and maintenance of light vehicles and cars. Preparing vehicles for MOT testing.
Tasks will include:
* Servicing vehicles
* Speaking to customers
* Housekeeping duties
* Learning new skills
The training you will be getting
On completion of the apprenticeship you will gain a Level 3 Motor vehicle service and maintenance technician (light vehicle) standard which includes:
* Certificate that meets the EU’s 2014 F-gas regulation
* Functional Skills in English and maths if required
You will attend college one day a week and learning includes a focus on new technologies e.g., electric and hybrid vehicles principles.
MOT Tester training and advanced diagnostic skills.
What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship
* Once qualified options can include full time employment
