Employer description: Blue Line Computing are an MSP that specialise in serving it’s SME clients across the Leicestershire area, through both onsite and remote assistance. Overview: They are growing the team, and are now looking to bring in an IT Support Apprentice to work on troubleshooting, computer repair, software/ hardware installation, etc. Key Responsibilities: [includes but are not limited to:] Providing first-line and second-line technical support for both hardware and software issues. Assisting with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment. Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to operating systems (Windows, MacOS, Linux), software applications, networking, and other IT systems. Responding to and managing service requests via phone, email, or ticketing system. What the client are looking for: Successful applicants will have: Good communication skills (both written and verbal). An interest in learning desktop support and troubleshooting end-user issues. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. A willingness to learn and develop technical skills in a professional setting. Essential: Having a full driving licence and your own vehicle is required - as the role involves travelling. Entry requirements: 3 GCSE's (or equivalent) at grades 4 (A-C) in any subject GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3 (D or above) Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship in a similar subject You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme. If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.
