We’re looking for two passionate Peripatetic Senior Residential Childcare Workers to join our dynamic team. The Role:
In this key position, you will be the rock for both the children and your teams across multiple residential settings. Each day brings new challenges and opportunities to make a positive impact.
As a Senior Peripatetic Residential Childcare Worker, you will lead by example, providing high-quality care and support to children and young people, particularly in times of crisis. This role requires strong leadership skills, resilience, adaptability, and a deep commitment to supporting young people through their most challenging times. You will also act as a role model for other staff, demonstrating best practices in care and therapeutic approaches.
1. Leadership: Guide and mentor a team of Peripatetic Residential Childcare Workers, creating an environment of learning, respect, and compassion.
2. Adaptability: Work across various homes, adapting to different teams and environments, ensuring that every child receives the highest quality of care and a sense of belonging.
3. Direct Care: Provide hands-on care and support to children, helping to create a stable and nurturing environment.
4. Innovation: Bring fresh ideas to address challenges and enhance the life experiences of the children in our care.
Who Are We Looking For?
We’re seeking a unique individual who brings experience and passion to the role. We need someone with proven experience in residential childcare. Your passion for making a positive impact on young lives should shine!
You must have previous and relevant experience of working with young people and families or have worked in a residential setting and have extensive experience of working with young people experiencing crisis. A strong background in therapeutic parenting, behaviour support, and de-escalation techniques is also essential. A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare is essential (or willingness to work towards this).
We need someone who has an exceptional ability to lead by example, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to inspire and motivate teams. You will have the ability to adapt to changing environments and overcome challenges with a positive attitude.

Please be aware that this post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and that you will be required to meet the cost of the DBS check currently £49.50. The payment for this will be deducted from your first four months’ salary payments at a rate of £12.38 per month. If you do not commence employment for any reason but the DBS has been processed, you will be sent an invoice for the payment of £49.50.
