At Abingdon & Witney College, the curriculum delivery is at the core of our business - that's why we've invested in the structure of our curriculum teams to ensure the best possible student experience and outcomes. Our Study Programme Lead (SPL) role is an opportunity for experienced teachers to take on the role of leading a range of programmes within a vocational area, including the design of the programmes to ensure that all aspects are delivered and co-ordinated to ensure the best possible student experience and outcomes. This role incorporates 180 hours of remission from teaching due to its part-time nature, allowing time for these duties.
Study Programme Leads play an integral role in ensuring the success and progression of our students through regular tutorials, providing support with finding experience placements, and ensuring every student is clear about their next steps into work or further study.
This role is a great opportunity for an experienced teacher to spend more time with students alongside their teaching, and to develop curriculum management skills in preparation for a step into management in the future.
As a result of growth across the college, we are looking to appoint experienced vocational teachers as Study Programme Lead in our Public and Professional Industry curriculum area to manage and teach on our further education courses from Level 1 to Level 3.
