Job summary
We are looking for an experienced, dynamic and highly motivated individual to join our multi disciplinary Paediatric Neuro-Oncology service team.
Our 'Brainbow' team reviews and coordinates the rehabilitation for children with a diagnosis of a primary brain tumour in the East of England.
You will be the specialised paediatric physiotherapist who is responsible for the physiotherapeutic aspect of their care. You will be predominantly based within the out-patient setting but will involve some in-patient and outreach work. We are a large regional hospital supporting both the local population and wider regional populations.
You will be strongly supported in learning new skills and gaining additional training in this regional cancer centre.
You will have a passion and clinical skills for the care of children with acute respiratory needs as well as being involved in their long term condition management. You will also have skills in service development and evaluation.
For the acting up period all current weekend / on call commitments remain in place.

Qualifications
Essential
1. Diploma / Degree in Physiotherapy (or equivalent).
2. State Registration.
3. Evidence of relevant postgraduate level education / CPD.
4. Able to work to MSc level.
Desirable
5. Membership professional body The chartered society of physiotherapy or Professional network.
6. Involvement in relevant special interest groups.
7. MSc level of qualification or equivalent experience.
Experience

8. NHS experience.
9. Significant postgraduate experience in a broad range of specialities including neurological and musculoskeletal conditions.
10. Paediatric physiotherapy experience.
11. Experience of working as part of a physiotherapy team an MDT.
Desirable
12. Oncology experience.

14. Experience in conducting formal presentations.
15. Experience in community or the third sector.
