MECHANICAL TECHNICIAN
Salary: £39,390.79 - £41,160.30 per annum (potential to earn further allowances for AP duties and holding a qualification in a second trade)
Working Hours: Permanent, Full Time, 42 hours per week
Location: Cheltenham, GL51 0EX

We are looking to recruit a Mechanical Technician to join our friendly team at a prestigious building in Cheltenham to deliver planned and reactive maintenance and to carry out mechanical installation, inspection and testing. This is a full-time role working 42 hours per week across a rolling shift pattern of 2 days(7am - 7pm), 2 nights(7pm - 7am), 4 days off. Overtime is available or may be required from time to time to ensure continuity of cover.
Responsibilities:
Undertake all work to a high standard and in accordance with the SLA and KPIs, site policies, health and safety rules and regulations.
Monitor, operate and utilise the mobile PDA device to support service delivery.
Respond to defects, faults and client requests and identify root causes of breakdowns and faults.
Maintain and update records relating to statutory inspections.
Identify and arrange for the requisition of materials in support of maintenance work orders.
Identify opportunities to provide continuous improvement for service delivery.
Oversee and escort contractors where required, ensuring their work is satisfactorily completed in line with risk assessments, method statements and contract KPIs.
Support in the delivery of a safe, clean and healthy working environment.
Develop and maintain day to day contact with client representatives.
Identify training and development to satisfy corporate objectives.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Essential Criteria:
NVQ Level 2 in an appropriate mechanical discipline or equivalent.
5 years experience in a facilities maintenance environment or similar.
Familiar with Microsoft Office.
Ability to obtain DV Clearance.
Desirable Criteria:
Electrical Conversion Course.
Refrigeration/Air Conditioning knowledge.
IPAF or equivalent.
