We are looking to appoint an additional SEND Learning Leader to work alongside our existing SEND Learning Leader and support our SENDCO.
Together with our current SEND Learning Leader, the successful applicant will support the SENDCO by providing administrative support and act as a team leader to the Teaching Assistants in the absence of the SENDCO. The new SEND Learning Leader's role will include overseeing the coordination of Exam Access Arrangements, in accordance with JCQ guidelines. For context, our SEN pupils may be vulnerable as a result of difficulties in Communication and Interaction, Cognition and Learning, Social, Emotional and Mental Health, Sensory and/or Physical abilities and Self-care and Independence or Health. Ideally, applicants should have a good knowledge of the systems used in the school such as CPOMS, Provision Map and the MIS (currently Bromcom), current SEND legislation and Gloucestershire’s Graduated Pathway for the early help and support of children, young people and their families. Applicants should also be competent in the use of Word and Excel, have excellent organisation skills and excellent interpersonal skills, as well as empathy enabling them to work effectively with pupils. The post is for term time plus one week for Inset Days. The successful applicant will work 32.5 hours per week, working from 8.30am to 3.30pm Monday to Friday with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break from 11.55am - 12.25pm. each day. The post is Grade 6, Point Range 15-20, which gives an actual salary of between £21,956 and £23,837 per annum based on 44.8 weeks per year, which includes 5.8 weeks paid holiday.
