To supervise contact (“family time”) for children, parents and connected persons. • Ensure that all aspects of the Health & Safety Policies and Procedures are adhered to during each contact session.
• Be responsible for identifying and managing all risks associated with the job, escalating any issues of concern to the Assistant Team Manager / Team Manager.
• Maintain accurate, comprehensive and up to date records of supervised contact undertaken with the family. To record on case files data systems e.g. Mosaic.
• To maintain standards of service in line with BFfC’s policies and procedures.
• To develop and maintain professional working relationships with staff from internal and external agencies/organisations.
• Actively participate in supervision with line manager – to keep records accordingly.
• A commitment to inclusive practice & confidence to embed anti discriminatory practice into daily work.To undertake such personal training as may be deemed necessary to meet the duties and responsibilities of the post.
• Maintain and update case notes and other records and write reports as necessary.
• When working with families, to recognise, monitor and assess risk, and escalate risk to supervisors in a timely manner to plan mitigating action.
