The Role: We're seeking an experienced Head of Marketing to lead and develop the marketing function at City Plumbing. This pivotal role will be responsible for driving our brand, communications, operations, trading, CRM, and loyalty functions, ensuring alignment across all City Plumbing propositions. The successful Head of Marketing candidate will play a key role in delivering customer growth and supporting sales objectives across the entire business. As Head of Marketing, you will be instrumental in shaping and executing our marketing strategy. This includes overseeing all aspects of marketing activity, from brand building and customer acquisition to loyalty programmes and CRM optimisation. You will be a strategic thinker with a proven track record of delivering measurable results, and possess the leadership skills to inspire and motivate a high-performing team. Key Responsibilities Oversee all aspects of brand management, including brand positioning, messaging, and creative development, ensuring all business units and propositions of the business under one City Plumbing entity. Manage the identity of the City Plumbing proposition, and ensure consistent executions across all channels (branch and online), and integration into the trading cycles resulting in an integrated customer view of City Plumbing. Oversee the delivery of the CRM and Loyalty channels, including customer acquisition campaigns, member acquisition campaigns and customer retention strategies, proactively reporting on their successes. Work closely with suppliers to create and deliver brand and trading partnership activity, strengthening the presence of City Plumbing across the specific categories. Develop the business Communication strategy through both PR and Social, supporting key metrics of recognition such as follower growth, and engagement, as well as placements throughout the relevant press channels. Monitor industry and competitor activity as well as survey & customer research initiatives and scope the needs for customer insight across the propositions, reporting back to the business to support decision making. Champion businesss initiatives such as Renewables, Bathrooms and Exclusive brands, providing a market leading approach to driving the success of the integration of these across both internal and external channels. Development of segmentation to support targeting and personalisation and improve customer engagement with the propositions,, with a focus towards improving recognition of City Plumbing across various sub - industries. Support the Marketing team with absences and work proactively to support and develop colleagues within the wider Marketing team to drive best practice and establish best in class ways of working. This Marketing opportunity offers the opportunity to work on a hybrid basis. Therefore, you should be within commutable distance of our offices in Crick, Northamptonshire. Youll enjoy working collaboratively with the wider team and youll be committed to acting with integrity and honesty in everything you do Skills and competencies Demonstrable experience working within a Senior or Head of Marketing role Able to build relationships with key stakeholders - advising and consulting on best Marketing practices Results driven, customer & business focus Strong analytical skills Strong understanding of customer segmentation, digital, insights and data, marcomms and social, with a view to deliver ROI Excellent planning and delivery skills. Agency and Project management experience would be beneficial. The ability to develop and motivate a team of marketers.
