This role is based in Farnborough, Hampshire with 2 days per week in the office. Our office is within walking distance of the train station and has free parking. This is a full-time position, however work life balance is important to us and so we are open to discussion on flexible working patterns (minimum 4 days per week).
Salary: £23,400 - £24,000
About the role:
Every role at Explore is equally important. This newly created role will support our Tour Leader Manager to ensure that our tour leaders are properly supported and have all the resources they need to lead safe and successful tours. Our tour leaders are the face of Explore. They are crucial in ensuring that our customers have the best possible experience when travelling with us, so it’s our goal to ensure we have the best leaders in the industry. Explore works with over 700 tours leaders based in around 100 countries, and this role will assist the Tour Leader Manager in ensuring we have a highly engaged team of global tour leaders who feel a valued part of our business and are exceptional Explore brand ambassadors.
A typical working day will be varied, key responsibilities will be:
* Completing record forms for new tour leaders
* Maintaining our tour leader database
* Managing our tour leader Facebook page
* Communicating with tour leaders, assisting with their enquiries and providing general support
* Supporting with tasks such as updating tour leader documentation, running tour leader competitions, compiling data for our Tour Leader of the Year Awards, sending e-newsletters, assisting with online leader training, contacting ground agents to request leader schedules
* Ensuring our ground agents have sufficient supplies of Explore branded materials including tour leader kit
* Being flexible and willing to help with other tasks within the product team – this may include assisting the Risk Manager maintain our risk database or helping our Product Managers with various tasks
Am I the right person?
We’re looking for someone who has a passion for travel, who is looking to work for an ambitious purpose led company and who has a belief in sustainable travel.
This role would suit someone who has experience working in a reception/front of house/administration/hospitality role who is organised, has excellent attention to detail, strong administrative skills, and the ability to get things done quickly and efficiently. Experience working in the travel industry is advantageous but not essential. We’re looking for someone who is a team player, who wants to be involved in supporting our global tour leader network, and who is adaptable and keen to learn and develop in the role.
Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential. We work with many partners around the world, so you must be able to celebrate diversity and build great relationships with other departments around the business plus our global partners. Someone with great people skills would flourish in this role as there will be lots of interaction with our 700+ tour leaders.
