About the role
Balfour Beatty is currently seeking a Section Foreman to join us on our Devonport Dockyard project. This role involves supervising construction activities, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and coordinating with project teams. Due to the project's location, candidates willing to relocate may receive a subsistence package covering accommodation.
Join our Regional Civils team at Devonport Dockyard and play a key role in delivering vital infrastructure projects. We are looking for an experienced Section Foreman to lead site teams, ensuring work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a prestigious project in a challenging and rewarding environment.
What you'll be doing
* Supervise the Site Team and Subcontractors
* Input into weekly programme and monitor progress against KPIs
* Communicate weekly programme and targets to the workforce
* Ensure that the appropriate level of resource is allocated to each work activity and monitor this
* Chair daily short interval control meetings with the site supervisors
* Validate labour and plant records to the project cost control procedure
Who we're looking for
You will have the following:
* Previous experience working as a Foreman in a Civil Engineering/Construction environment
* Ability to take ownership of tasks and communicate outcomes effectively
* Holds a current driving license, CSCS Card, and SMSTS certification
* Strong team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on Health, Safety & Environmental standards
