Wise Employment is currently recruiting for a Materials Planning Manager for an established production company in the Callington area within their supply chain department. This is an on-site permanent role with a salary of up to £52k DOE.
This role is working Monday to Friday 7:30 am to 4:00 pm. What your day will look like as a Materials Planning Manager:
* Your day will be varied and ever-changing, making this an exciting opportunity with direct responsibility for the management and development of the materials planners.
* You will manage materials supply and coordinate activities within the rest of the supply chain, operations, and business teams, as well as manage activities within the commercial teams, procurements, and suppliers for the delivery and management of materials while minimising customer service material risks.
* You will ensure all forecasts and purchase orders are provided in a timely manner to target 100% material availability for the production schedules.
* Using your communication and creativity skills, you will plan and deliver the material requirements for promotions, seasonal, and product launches.
* Throughout this role, you will be responsible for managing various timelines and liaising with suppliers and departments to ensure a seamless operation of the supply chain department.
* You will seek new ways to deliver improvements in materials, quality inventory, waste, and costs.
* The right candidate will deliver accurate, concise, and punctual reporting and ensure the publication of the department's KPI scorecard, communicating overdue orders, inventory levels, and updates on supply risks.
Experience required as a Materials Planning Manager:
* A Degree (Business related) Level Education or Equivalent qualification/Experience is required.
* You will need materials planning/scheduling supervisory experience within a (preferably food) manufacturing environment.
* The right candidate will also need an excellent understanding of customer service and knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
* Experience and advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Word are required, as well as preferably system implementation development.
* You must have strong communication skills in both written and verbal forms, along with confident presentation skills and data/statistical analysis abilities.
