We are looking for an Operations Coordinator to conduct day-to-day management of various RSC venues in Stratford-upon-Avon, primarily based at The Other Place. You will be responsible for the delivery of efficient operations, ensuring that staff and visitors receive an exceptional welcome and service on-site. You will also be responsible for the safety and security of the building while you are on duty.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, key areas of responsibility include:
* Managing day-to-day operations, ensuring that everyone on-site receives the highest standard of service and that their comfort and safety are guaranteed at all times.
* Undertaking responsibilities as the building Person-in-Charge (PIC) across a number of venues, ensuring the safety and comfort of staff and visitors, and acting as the Building Manager/Licensee's representative as required.
* Leading the safe evacuation of the venue in emergency situations, ensuring staff, visitors, and venue safety and security at all times.
* Playing an active role in the promotion of the RSC's Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Plan, ensuring this is at the heart of all work carried out.
* Being familiar with and implementing departmental risk assessments, promptly advising the Operations Manager of potential risks and improvements.
* Being familiar with licensing requirements for The Other Place and Clore, supporting the Operations Manager and being a personal license holder if required. Training will be provided.
To be suitable for this role, it is essential that you have the following knowledge and experience:
* Experience of working within a visitor experience environment at a supervisory level.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Highly organized, efficient, and confident.
* A positive, adaptable attitude and an ability to work under frequently changing conditions.
* Ability to identify and solve problems as well as act on one's own initiative.
* Ability to act with integrity and observe confidentiality.
This is a part-time, fixed-term position for 16 months based in Stratford-upon-Avon. You will be working 24 hours per week. The core operational hours of these sites are 8am – 10pm, Monday to Saturday – you will be required to provide good availability at these times and a willingness to work differing and/or extra shifts.
