We are seeking a Business Development Manager to join our AFT Drinks, Licensed Wholesale team. AFT Drinks is a dynamic and experienced drinks company with a genuine passion for providing our customers with an incredible range of quality products and top-notch service.
Our extensive portfolio boasts almost 2,000 products across spirits, wines, beers, soft drinks, and other bar essentials. From well-loved classics to exclusive, hard-to-find gems, we have something for everyone. We are proud to be the exclusive agent or distributor for premium brands such as Hinch Whiskey, MacIvors Cider, Muff Liquor Spirits, and a range of wines such as Mionetto Prosecco, Mouton Cadet, Dada, Most Wanted Wines, and Isla Negra.
We are now accepting applications for a Business Development Manager to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing the AFT Drinks business within Northern Ireland through effective sales, margin control, and relationship management.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Develop the AFT Drinks business through effective sales growth and relationship management in both the on and off trades in a set geographical area.
* Achieve quarterly sales and margin targets in line with the objectives of the AFT Drinks business overall.
* Grow the Key account business in the area by developing existing relationships and opening new accounts.
* Win and develop profitable new business and work with the broader AFT Drinks team on opportunities.
* Develop on and off trade wine sales in AFT Drinks by growing our market share and focusing on securing new on-trade wine lists.
* Implement the company marketing plans driving promotions and NPD.
* Ensure full compliance with the company credit control policy.
* Work with all support functions including logistics, trading, marketing, and telesales to drive customer service.
The ideal candidate will have/be:
* A minimum of 3+ years’ experience in a proactive field-based sales role, with experience in the licensed trade being advantageous.
* Proven experience of growing sales and achieving targets within your industry.
* Strong commercial acumen and customer focus.
* Ability to make decisions, meet targets, and work under pressure.
* Excellent planning and organisational skills.
* A people person with the ability to network and build strong working relationships.
* Full clean driving licence.
* Competent in MS Office, including Excel and Word.
* Strong understanding of the drinks industry.
* An interest or knowledge of the wine industry.
