This is an exciting opportunity for a Band 7 physiotherapist with experience in leadership and pulmonary rehabilitation and delivery with some experience in the management of respiratory/heart failure and long Covid patients and an oxygen assessment to contribute to developing community therapy services within Wiltshire, as part of Wiltshire Health and Care.
We are passionate about respiratory care and you will join us to assist in driving forward advancements in pulmonary rehabilitation services, delivering programmes which include exercise training and disease management education, promoting patient self-management leading to improved quality of life.
Main duties of the job
You will work as part of an established integrated team which delivers care closer to home and have the opportunity to carry out physiotherapy assessment, diagnosis and evidence-based treatment for patients with respiratory conditions. The post also provides an opportunity to deliver multidisciplinary functions to respiratory patients in a variety of community settings, participate in teaching and supporting the community teams and carry out clinical audit to assist service development.
The post is based in Wiltshire where the team have a base in Chippenham and Amesbury. You will need to be a car driver, owner and prepared to cover a large geographical area.
The post is for 37.5 hours but is open to negotiation for the right candidate; similarly, a development post would be considered.

Person Specification
Additional Criteria
* Access to a vehicle that can be used for business purposes and hold a full and valid driving licence.
Qualifications
* Physiotherapist clinical qualification (e.g. BSc Hons or MSc)
* HCPC registered.
* COPD diploma or equivalent
* Non-medical prescriber or interest in acquiring this qualification.
Experience
* Up to date NHS respiratory experience, including COPD, Asthma and breathing pattern disorders.
* Experience running group-based rehab programme.
* Experience of pathway development in the scope of Physiotherapy.
* Working with a multi-disciplinary team.
* Teaching experience.
* Knowledge of recruitment, selection & appraisal system.
* Setting and monitoring standards of care.
* Experience within a wide range of patient/client care groups with co-morbidities.
* Experience of applying quality improvement and/or research-based information to practice.
* Experience of oxygen assessment and prescribing.
* Profiling community needs and targeting identified health needs of the population.
* Evidence of innovative and flexible approach to care and the organisation of care.
