Estates and Facilities Management is a multi-disciplinary organisation responsible for the development, management and maintenance of the University’s two campuses in Loughborough and London. The team deliver a range of hard and soft services ensuring the effective and sustainable management of the University’s land, buildings and biodiverse landscapes. This includes delivery of the capital building, refurbishment, long-term planned, compliance, and reactive maintenance programme where there is continual improvement of the estate. Here’s more about the role and what we’re looking for: Loughborough University’s Student Accommodation Centre are seeking an Accommodation Officer to provide highly professional and excellent advice and support to current and prospective students and their parents. The role holder will also be responsible for reception duties at times and contributing to ensuring maximum occupancy of University accommodation throughout the year. The Student Accommodation Centre is an award-winning unit within Loughborough University’s Estates & Facilities Department and are responsible for allocating and managing accommodation needs of students and visitors and including catering, housekeeping and facilities. The post-holder will be expected to lead on nominated areas and work flexibly across other areas commensurate within their grade as and when business needs require. Key Requirements: Relevant work experience within a customer facing role Communication – must be confident in dealing with queries from both internal and external customers (written and verbal) Be flexible in working hours and prepared to work some evenings or weekends at peak times of the year A Level standard or equivalent including GCSE in Maths and English Proficient in IT packages within an office environment including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) Why should you apply?
