Northbrook College, part of the Chichester College Group, is looking for a Customer Service level 2 apprentice to join the team at the West Durrington Campus in Worthing. The successful candidate will become part of the admissions team, meeting and greeting students who come to the Student Centre.
Hours: Monday - Friday, shifts to be confirmed. 37 hours a week
Start Date: Monday, 6 January

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
This front of house role will suit someone who is enthusiastic in supporting the team with promoting the recruitment and retention of students and has the aptitude and willingness to help people in a bustling environment providing information and advice to prospective students.
Key Responsibilities:
* Signposting students
* Answering the telephone
* Emails to and from students
* Speaking to students face to face in the student centre
* Learning how to print ID cards
* Becoming familiar with and understanding the courses offered at Northbrook College to assist students with their online applications and enrolments

Course contents:
* Use a range of questioning skills, including listening and responding in a way that builds rapport, determines customer needs and expectations, and achieves positive engagement and delivery.
* Use appropriate verbal and non-verbal communication skills during face-to-face communications.
* Use appropriate communication skills during non-facing customer interactions.
* Use an appropriate ‘tone of voice’ in all communications that reflect the organisation’s brand.
* Provide clear explanations and offer options to help customers make mutually beneficial choices.
* Organise yourself, prioritise your workload/activity, and meet deadlines.
* Demonstrate patience and calmness.
* Understand the customer’s point of view.
* Use appropriate sign-posting or resolution to meet customer needs and manage expectations.
* Maintain informative communication during service recovery.
Your training plan
* Level 2 Customer Service Practitioner apprenticeship qualification.
* Functional Skills in maths and English, if required.
* Training schedule has yet to be agreed; details will be made available later.
* Mandatory training will be expected as part of the onboarding process.
Requirements
GCSE or equivalent in:
* Maths (grade 9-4)
