BASF plc, BASF Group's main operating company in the United Kingdom, supplies raw materials to most industries. We market a wide range of products, including chemicals, construction chemicals, agricultural solutions products, dispersions and pigments, pest control solutions, plastics, polyurethanes systems, leading edge coating products, mining and water treatment chemicals. We manufacture performance chemicals, polyurethane systems and pest control solutions. At our site in Breasclete we produce an active pharmaceutical ingredient.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Receipt, analysis, reporting and checking of all QC samples following cGMP procedures.
* Responsible for accurate collation of analytical data (internal and external); Reporting and checking of data in a timely manner; working to manufacturing, shipping and stability schedules.
* Raise initial laboratory investigations (ILI) wherever appropriate and notify QC Supervision promptly. Participate in root cause investigations and raise and/or participate in QC related activities to support deviations, change controls and CAPA in allocated time and actively support the resolution of quality issues.
* Calibration and maintenance of basic labware; inspection and regulation of QC Glassware. Dispatch of samples for external analysis as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* SCQF Level 9 in Chemistry / Science related subject or minimum 2 years laboratory experience in cGMP environment.
* Working knowledge of cGMP.
* Knowledge of Gas chromatography (GC) and High-Performance Liquid chromatography (HPLC) is desirable.
