What you will do
Parts & Service Trainee - Tipton Van Centre, Hobart Rd, Tipton
45 hours a week, Monday to Friday 07.00 - 16.30 plus Saturday's on rota paid at time and a half
Paying to National Minimum Wage Bands - up to £12.71 (NMW age dependent)
Working within the Renault Trucks Van Centre, (Hobart Rd, DY4 9LE) you will be part of a team developing and sustaining superior performance in parts and service administration with face to face customer liaison.
Core Responsibilities:
Service:
* Ensure when working on the Front of House reception that customers are greeted professionally and with a friendly demeanor when booking in their vehicle, relaying back costs and information from their service and inspections etc.
* Updating the customer throughout with timelines and costs where applicable.
* Ensure that the service area is kept clean and tidy, and that equipment is in good condition reflecting the image of an efficient and modern Retail Dealer point.
* Ensure the Dealer point works to the criteria laid down in the Company Health and Safety policy.
Parts:
* Ensure customer orders are taken and supplied to the correct specification.
* Ensure that procedures are correctly carried out for the ordering of goods and their receipt.
* Maintain an efficient filing and retrieval system.
* Ensure that the parts area is kept clean and tidy, and that equipment is in good condition reflecting the image of an efficient and modern Retail Dealer point.
* Ensure the Dealer point works to the criteria laid down in the Company Health and Safety policy.
* Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) when must be worn.
General Duties:
* Work with the team to ensure a strong top team ethos.
* Support the development of character, skills, attitude and superior individual and team performance.
* Ensure that you conduct yourself in a business-like and professional manner.
* Assist with maintaining a clean and professional Service and Parts area.
* Attend any training or development activity that is made available.
Required Competencies:
* To be able to effectively communicate at all levels both written and verbally.
* To be able to develop or work in developing new or enhancing existing processes.
* To be able to adapt and take on new skills and approaches.
* To be able to competently use GDS and associated software & systems.
* To be able to competently use desktop PC and associated software & systems.
