Osprey Games, an imprint of Bloomsbury Publishing Plc, is looking for a Senior Marketing Executive to work across our well-established range of tabletop games, including board and card games, wargames and roleplaying games. This is an exciting role for an enthusiastic, creative and ambitious individual to join our bright and friendly marketing team based in Oxford. The role sits within our Special Interest division and reports to the Head of Marketing.
The role
To provide effective global marketing and publicity of Osprey Games products to consumers and trade partners by implementing all aspects of its marketing plans, including events, review and features coverage, email marketing, print and digital advertising, and point-of-sale materials.
Responsibilities:
1. Create and implement exciting marketing campaigns to drive sales, maximise profits and champion the Osprey Games brand.
2. In consultation with the Head of Marketing, manage, track and report on all aspects of the Osprey Games marketing and publicity budget.
3. Work with the Marketing Assistant to organise events in the UK and abroad, including booking the booth, ordering stock, and arranging logistics, transport, and accommodation for employees. Attend relevant industry events for the purposes of taking meetings and promoting upcoming games to press, retailers and customers.
4. In conjunction with the Marketing Assistant, manage Osprey Games’ social media accounts, website blog and forum, and presence across other online platforms, with a view to grow the community and foster positive, meaningful engagement.
5. Prepare copy for a range of materials, to deadline, including (but not limited to) Advance Information Sheets, catalogues, press releases, blogs, social media content and point-of-sale materials.
6. Negotiate and reserve all print and online advertising. Work closely with the Marketing Designer to develop all print and online consumer and trade advertising where required. Report on the effectiveness of advertising efforts.
7. Manage marketing relationships with key retailers and wholesale partners, including regular communication (in-person, through the development of an effective B2B communications network, and at trade events). Liaise with Sales to co-ordinate efforts and pursue revenue opportunities.
8. Implement strategy to deliver excellent online and offline brand presence, meeting the needs of existing retailers, and developing opportunities for growth in new outlets.
9. In consultation with the Head of Marketing and Sales Director, implement and report on a robust and ambitious retail marketing plan which prioritises brand and product awareness and community engagement, to drive sales and maximise profit.
10. Collaborate with Editorial, Sales and Marketing teams to develop creative and engaging merchandising solutions, including (but not limited to): promotional products (including gameplay content), catalogues and flyers, point of sale materials, and in-store displays.
11. In collaboration with the Sales and Marketing teams, support community growth and engagement through the development and delivery of an organised play and/or demo programme.
The ideal candidate will have:
12. Strong retail and/or marketing experience, ideally within the tabletop games industry.
13. A passion for tabletop games and the broader games industry.
14. Creativity, flexibility and an appetite for innovating.
15. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
16. Strong time and project management and an ability to multi-task and work on several different projects simultaneously.
17. Experience in a management or supervisory role is desirable but not required.

The role is a full-time, permanent position.
Salary Pay Point: up to £34,000 per annum
The role is based at our Oxford office, Kemp House, Chawley Park, Cumnor Hill, Oxford OX2 9PH on a hybrid-working pattern of 2 days office based / 3 days home based (or fully office based if preferred). Allocated office days for this role are: Monday and Tuesday.
