An excellent opportunity has arisen to join us in the Business team assisting with outsourcing requirements for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships.
This role will see the successful candidate working closely with the wider Business team and VAT specialists assisting a variety of clients with regular bookkeeping tasks, preparation and submission of VAT returns, and production of management accounts.
You will have regular client interaction and be their key contact for any book-keeping queries and will ensure records are accurate and up to date at all times.
To be considered for this role you must have previous experience working in an accounts department or accountancy practice, as well as:
* Experience in cloud accountancy packages such as QuickBooks and Xero
* Good general knowledge of VAT rates, VAT schemes, partial exemption
* Ability to post journals, reconcile banks and control accounts including PAYE and CIS
* Self-motivated and able to manage the workload of multiple clients, prioritising tasks to meet deadlines
* Good attention to detail and accuracy.
* Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service to clients.
* Excellent communication skills with clients and the wider team.
* Experience of reviewing entries on software
* Ability to prepare management accounts
Desirable Skills and Experience
* Experience in training others on the use of cloud accounting software.
* Experience with migrating clients to digital platforms.
* Experience with apps and add-ons for QuickBooks and Xero
* As some of the work will be completed at client premises you will ideally have access to a vehicle to travel to their offices
