The Role
We are seeking a creative, data-driven, and highly motivated Social Media & Digital Marketing Manager to lead our content strategy, creation, and distribution for both the company and our clients. This new, pivotal role will drive brand awareness, increase audience engagement and creates compelling content that tells both the ARETÉ story and the stories of certain clients across all digital platforms. You will work closely with cross-functional teams - Talent Representation, Partnership Sales and Content Production (external) - to align content with business goals and deliver measurable impact.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
* Social Media Strategy & Management: Establish and implement growth and engagement strategies for Instagram, Facebook, X, YouTube, TikTok, and emerging platforms for ARETÉ and certain key clients
* Content Strategy Development: Define, scale and execute a content marketing strategy that drives audience engagement and builds a strong community around ARETÉ and our clients. Develop content plans that support lead generation, brand awareness and engagement. Collaborate with outside content producers to ensure appropriate integration with tentpole campaigns.
* Content Creation & Management: Work with internal and external designers, videographers, and other content creators to ensure the delivery of top-tier content. Manage the social and editorial calendar for both ARETÉ and some of our clients (where required). Optimise all content for SEO.
* Performance Analytics & Optimisation: Set KPIs, track, analyse, and report on content performance using data-driven insights to refine strategies and improve outcomes. Utilise audience insights to guide content creation that increases engagement, drives traffic, and enhances ARETÉ’s and our clients’ digital footprints.
* Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with the Talent Representation and Partnership Sales units to create content that supports launches, partner integrations, and series storytelling. Coordinate with the design and external content producers to ensure visual consistency and appeal in content formats.
* Trend Capitalisation: Leverage cultural moments, trends in sports and society, and key events in the sporting world to produce timely and relevant content. Lead content-first marketing campaigns designed to enhance engagement, build community, and elevate both ARETE’s market presence and our client’s market relevance.
* Commercial Impact: Develop content strategies that directly contribute to commercial goals, including growing sponsorship value and expanding community participation. The ideal candidate will be adept at linking content to measurable business outcomes.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
* 3+ years of experience in content marketing, social media strategy and/or digital marketing, with a proven track record of building and scaling content strategies.
* Strong understanding of content distribution platforms and digital marketing channels, including social media, SEO, email marketing, and video content.
* Experience in data-driven marketing, with the ability to analyse performance metrics and adapt strategies accordingly.
* Exceptional storytelling, with a deep understanding of brand voice and audience engagement.
* Proven ability to generate creative ideas that resonate with diverse audiences and create viral moments across digital platforms.
* Experience managing teams and external agencies. Preferred but not mandatory.
* Strong leadership and project management skills.
* Knowledge of the sports industry including professional sportspeople and brands in the sports ecosystem, as well as an understanding of athlete and community needs, is highly desirable.
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with the ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines.
* Flexibility to work evenings and weekends when required.

* Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 DOE
