Area Sales Manager The Role: An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Area Sales Manager to join a well-established, family-owned company that has been a leader in the food processing machinery industry for over 35 years. Based in the South West of the UK, you will be responsible for selling a range of capital equipment into food processing environments including meat, dairy, confectionery, baking, pet food, and plant-based food production. This is a field-based role, with a significant portion of time spent on the road - at least three days per week. The Area Sales Manager will be working with a variety of clients, from small owner-operated businesses to large international corporations. The sales cycle can vary, with some deals taking up to a year, while others may close in just a week. This role offers excellent potential for growth, with a well-established region to develop through focused new business activity and the expansion of existing accounts. Requirements: To be considered for the Area Sales Manager role, you must have: A proven track record in field sales, selling capital equipment into process and production environments. Experience managing a lengthy sales cycle with high-value equipment. Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with both small and large businesses. A self-starter attitude, with the drive to achieve and exceed sales targets.
