WHAT TO EXPECT
Join our dynamic team within the Product Compliance function at JLR. We ensure our vehicles meet global regulatory requirements and safety legislation, enabling us to sell our products worldwide. As part of the Conformity of Production (CoP) team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining approval certificates essential for our global market presence.
As an Emissions Test Facility Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and developing our test facilities, ensuring they operate smoothly and meet regulatory standards. You will support both planned and unplanned maintenance, develop new facilities and processes, and manage projects to ensure cost, quality, and timing objectives are met.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES
* Ensure Vehicle Emissions Test Facilities are fully operational and supported.
* Compile and verify test data, maintaining the asset register.
* Gather information for KPI reporting and support test facility audits.
* Investigate test failures and ensure regulatory standards are consistently met.
* Liaise with suppliers for routine maintenance and repair of equipment.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
* Previous experience in vehicle emissions testing/validation, software, and test facilities processes.
* Test data handling, interpretation, and first-line support for equipment fault diagnosis and rectification.
* Ability to recognise when to take remedial action, forward plan, and handle complex technical situations.
* Excellent skills for interacting with external suppliers, stakeholders, and the PCC team.
* Inquisitive, innovative, and proactive with a willingness to learn and take responsibility for personal development.
