About the role
We are currently seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Operative to join our team to cover all general repairs and small refurbishment projects. As a Maintenance Operative you will be responsible for carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance as per the site maintenance tracker. This role reports to Facilities and Health & Safety Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Perform routine maintenance tasks, including but not limited to, repairing machinery, equipment, and systems;
2. Conduct inspections to identify potential issues and address them in a timely manner;
3. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing problems;
4. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs;
5. Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment;
6. IT literate and proficient in the use of Microsoft 365 software;
The successful candidate will require:
1. Previous experience in a similar role;
2. Multi Trade knowledge and experience in troubleshooting and repairing;
3. Building maintenance skills – painting, decorating, joinery and plumbing;
4. Basic electrical knowledge is preferred;
5. Ideally IOSH qualified;
6. Good written and verbal communication skills;
7. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think logically;
8. The ability to work to deadlines in a safe and efficient manner;
9. The ability to work well as part of a team or alone;

Pay: £35,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
