My client is a distributor of 10 European food processing machinery brands solely to the UK. Based in the north of the UK, my client now operates worldwide, supplying machines to fish, meat, and poultry factories on primary, secondary, and further processing. Machines include filleting, dicing, slicing, grinders, formers, and packaging machines.
The Role:
Responsibilities include:
1. Installation, breakdown, and repair of food processing machines & cutting tools
2. Working on slicers, skinners, deboners, and portioning machines
3. Able to read electrical drawings
4. Able to wire & rewire
5. Changing of bearings, belts & chains
6. Experience working on shafts
7. Addressing mechanical issues surrounding pulleys
8. Ability to run Ethernet cables
9. Run diagnostics through HMI’s – inputs/outputs
10. Good understanding of pneumatics & hydraulics
11. Travel across the UK, visiting sites such as fisheries, meat processing, and chicken houses
Qualifications & Experience:
1. Experience with FMCG/Food/Production machines
2. No formal qualification needed
3. Ability to travel and understand the life of a service technician
