Our client is well-established and they are looking to add an Assistant Accountant on a Full-Time basis. This is a permanent position (Monday to Friday office hours). With an attractive salary of 28,000 per year for the right candidate. Working with Finance colleagues, the Finance Controller and Finance Director, the role will be varied and have exposure to all areas of the finance function of the business whilst working directly with the Finance Controller, making this an excellent opportunity. The Opportunity: Processing of transactions relating to Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger and Nominal Ledger Credit Control Processing of Payments and Receipts Assist with VAT Returns - preparation and completion in accordance with legislation Assist with bank reconciliations Petty cash Supplier statement reconciliations Cash counting/banking Assist with preparation of management reports and KPIs Processing credit card transactions Provide holiday and absence cover as required for other members of finance team To carry out any other tasks required by Management Team Background and Experience: Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel Experience using SAGE 200 but be advantageous Good understanding of Sales/Purchase Ledger Working to tight deadlines Strong communication skills Attention to detail Next Steps: If this job opportunity sounds appealing to you, please apply with your full up to date CV.
