RamsayHealth Care’s Yorkshire Clinic Hospital in Bingley, West Yorkshirehas a vacancy for a Pharmacy Technician/dispenser to join theirteam of staff in the Pharmacy department. This is a 21hours role looking for a Pharmacy Technician/Dispenser tosupport the Pharmacy team in the provision of pharmacy services forthe hospital.

Details of theposition:
Asa key member of the department, you will support the PharmacyManager and Team Leader in the provision of pharmacy services,including ordering, stock control and preparation of drugs andmedicines. This will include providing advice to patients andclinical staff on pharmaceutical products (within the limits ofyour role), and ensuring accurate, legal dispensing and issuing ofprescriptions for inpatients andoutpatients.
Keyresponsibilitiesinclude:
* Ensuringaccurate and legal dispensing and issue of prescriptions forinpatients and outpatients as specified in Ramsay Health CarePolicies andProcedures
* Undertakingduties in relation to the manufacture of pharmacygoods
* Supporting thepharmacist to ensure that Inpatient Prescription Record Charts arechecked regularly to ensure treatment is appropriate, bothclinically and financially and that the patient has sufficientsupplies
* Providingstraightforward advice to patients/carers and clinical staff onpharmaceutical products.
* Supervising, trainingand coaching new pharmacy staff if applicable
* Ensuring that theagreed standards of patient care and confidentiality are maintainedin accordance with Ramsay policies
* Adhering to GPhCStandards of conduct, ethicsand performance
* To take part inWeekend, Bank Holiday and extended hours rotas
Thesuccessful candidate will also hold the following essentialqualifications/criteria:
* NVQ2/3, BTEC inPharmaceutical Science or equivalentlevel
* Member of the GeneralPharmaceutical Council (pharmacytechnician)
* At least 4GCSEs (A-C), including English, Maths and Science or equivalentqualifications
* Soundwritten and verbal communicationskills
* Proven abilityto work effectively in a team environment and independently asrequired
* Flexibilityand adaptability to meet the changing needs of thebusiness
* DemonstratedCustomer Serviceskills
* DemonstratedComputer Skills
* Itwould also be desirable for the applicant to have experienceworking in a hospitalenvironment
