The purpose of the Ward Clerk is to ensure that all patients admitted have all relevant documentation in place on arrival, ensuring that the Trust's electronic systems are kept up to date and that key elements of the patient's pathway are recorded on the relevant systems ensuring the patient's pathway is correct on arrival and discharge.
Support the ward with administration functions, greeting patients and visitors on arrival, and ensuring all telephone calls are directed to the correct person to answer.
Main duties of the job
This post is to be based on Ward A5 at Bassetlaw Hospital, working 15 hours per week. We are looking to hire an enthusiastic individual to join our well-established team. The post holder will be required to assist with all the admin and clerical duties as the ward requires.
Due to the nature of this role, a high degree of confidentiality and discretion is expected. Ensuring all admin required is undertaken daily is vital, including tracking all notes and filing paperwork correctly on discharge to ensure the smooth running of the ward.

* GCSE English Language at Grade C or above or equivalent qualification
Knowledge and Experience
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Word
* Use of a large mainframe database / hospital CaMIS System
* Experience working within a healthcare environment
* Use of Medisec software
