The Council Revenues and Benefits Service is responsible for Billing, Collection and Recovery of Council Tax, Business Rates, Housing Benefit Overpayment & Sundry Debt.
We are looking for enthusiastic and positive individuals to work as part of a team responsible for administration and processing within the Revenues Service.
We are looking to appoint to permanent, primarily, full-time posts across our Business Rates, Council Tax Billing, Collection, Council Tax Recovery, HB Overpayments & Sundry Debt Recovery functions at 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, based primarily at Howden House.
We currently operate a hybrid working pattern with a minimum 20% attendance in office.
For this role you will need a range of skills and experience, including:
* Awareness of Business Rates, Council Tax, Council Tax Support, Housing Benefit Overpayment and Sundry Debt Recovery.
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 Applications, including Excel and Word.
* Ability to acquire and develop a working knowledge of basic Revenues and Benefits rules and procedures.
* An understanding of customer focus.
* Ability to communicate using different communication channels.
* Appreciation of a flexible approach to teamwork.
