Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by handling various tasks related to materials management, quality control, and inventory processes. This position requires an efficient individual with good due care and attention, who likes to do things to the best of their ability, improving operations and willing to help with a fast-growing and developing company.
Responsibilities
1. Perform quality control checks on incoming and outgoing products to ensure compliance with company standards.
2. Handle materials with care, including loading and unloading goods from lorries.
3. Execute picking and packing tasks accurately to fulfil customer orders efficiently.
4. Maintain stock levels by organising and replenishing inventory as needed.
5. Engage in heavy lifting of products, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury.
6. Operate forklifts safely for the movement of heavy items within the warehouse (certification may be required).
7. Utilise a Warehouse Management System (WMS) for tracking inventory and managing stock levels effectively.
8. Assist in maintaining a clean and organised warehouse environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Requirements
1. Previous experience in a warehouse setting is preferred but not essential.
2. Strong understanding of materials handling procedures and best practices.
3. Ability to perform quality control checks with attention to detail.
4. Experience with picking, packing, and stock management is advantageous.
5. Capability to lift heavy items regularly, demonstrating physical fitness for the role.
6. Operate a forklift to safely handle high-value frames and other materials, especially when unloading from lorries.
7. Conduct regular inventory checks and document product conditions.
8. Perform thorough job number checks, ensuring that all items align with loading sheets.
9. Inspect incoming deliveries, identifying and documenting any issues or failures.
10. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
