The Role:
We are looking to recruit a Directorate Support Manager to join the Medicine Team at University Hospital Hairmyres.
The successful candidate will provide high quality business and operational service support to the division and contribute to the implementation of strategy, ensuring opportunities for continuous development and improvement of services are appropriately considered and pursued to facilitate the delivery of clinical services.

What we'll need you to bring:
8. Educated to degree level in business management or equivalent knowledge and demonstrable experience
9. Post graduate expertise within a business management / operational management or health service area that demonstrates the required expert breadth of knowledge required to lead safely, effectively and efficiently
10. Further education/evidence of Continuous Professional Development
11. Effective leadership skills to enable the day to day management of service delivery and demonstrate the ability to motivate others and work using own initiative
12. Line management experience and the ability to management effectively
13. Knowledge of planning, operational processes and systems
14. The post holder will possess excellent team-working and have the ability to motivate and influence others and work using own initiative.
15. Excellent listening, communication and interpersonal skills and effective time management skills.
16. Working knowledge of basic information technology.
