THE KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
1. Reporting to the Group Head of Finance, managing a team of accounting professionals and operational finance team members to deliver many of the day to day functions of the Finance team.
2. Responsible for timely, accurate and high quality monthly and quarterly reporting, focusing on continuous improvements and meeting business and stakeholder needs.
3. Understanding and reporting on financial performance, including guiding the business on key trends in order to help achieve or exceed our strategic goals and financial targets.
4. Developing strong relationships with the divisional stakeholders in the business to become a trusted business partner.
5. Ensuring financial operations (Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable/Banking Operations & Treasury/Payroll) are managed and run efficiently, focusing on controls and minimizing errors.
6. Designing, implementing and reviewing accounting controls including ensuring the monthly balance sheet reconciliation process operates consistently.
7. Working with FP&A to deliver budgeting and forecast cycles ensuring central cost center budgeting process runs efficiently and on time.
8. Strong understanding of the business budgets and forecasts including how the changes may impact City expectations.
9. Managing key external relationships (Invest NI, Banks, Auditors, Advisers).
10. Assisting the External Reporting lead with the year end Audit and interim reporting requirements and managing aspects of the relationship with our Financial auditors.
11. Managing and maximizing our Grant positions globally.
12. Driving a culture of continuous improvement across the team, identifying opportunities and implementing efficiencies through better use of technology.
13. Assisting the Group Head of Finance on key strategic projects (e.g. M&A, restructuring) or presenting Finance packs/analysis to executives, the CFO or the Board of Directors.
14. Support and develop direct reports creating an environment which encourages continuous learning and development leading the development of the Group Finance capability.
GROUP FINANCIAL CONTROLLER M INIMUM ( ESSENTIAL) REQUIREMENTS :
15. ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with at least 7 years PQE of which 3 years should be at a senior Finance management level.
16. Experience working in a Global business with different jurisdictional presences, service line offerings and divisions.
17. Strong experience in Financial systems and Excel which support both growth and the production management information.
18. Ability to manage, coach and mentor and develop a high-performing, multi- site team to create an environment which encourages continuous learning and development within the Group Finance capability.
19. Ability to make effective decisions within fast-paced, complex projects of differing size and priority and delivering to tight deadlines.
20. Experience of building effective relationships with key stakeholders to support business growth.
21. Experience of risk mitigation through identifying and reducing key dependencies in finance processes and building in efficiencies.
22. Ability to simply and clearly communicate financial information and processes in conversation, documentation and presentations.
23. Active participation in knowledge sharing activities, both within the team and at a wider capability level and externally where appropriate.
24. Reasonable travel as required.
DESIRABLE BUT NOT ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
25. Experience working in a Plc environment.
26. Experience working in a fast growing SaaS business.
27. Adept at working with Working Financials or Adaptive Planning as key Financial and Reporting systems.
