The role will oversee the operationalization, governance, and project management of a key externally funded student mobility project, supporting the University's internationalization efforts. Reporting to the Senior Global Engagement Mobility Manager, the role will primarily focus on supporting the implementation and delivery of this externally funded project. The postholder will be responsible for grant management, coordinating activities, and ensuring the regular monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of the project. Additionally, the postholder will conduct research and analysis to provide horizon-scanning reports for the international mobility portfolio. Main Responsibilities Operational/Business Support Ensure compliance with strategic and operational objectives of the international student mobility project. Shape the operationalization of grant funding, benchmarking based on internal lessons and external best practices. Support the strategic development and efficient project management of the Global Engagement Hub’s operations. Establish and maintain effective relationships with senior managers, academics, external partners, and other stakeholders to address complex business needs. Support international partnership development across the University, following up with potential partners and stakeholders. Projects Coordination Lead and coordinate cross-University projects associated with the externally funded mobility grant. Design work packages and plans, estimating budgets, setting milestones, and defining deliverables. Coordinate the delivery of work packages, managing both own activities and those of others. Produce project documentation in line with BU’s standards and procedures. Adhere to the governance process and project management standards for the Global Engagement Hub. Events Support Lead and coordinate the management of key events related to the Global Engagement Hub, ensuring successful execution and alignment with strategic objectives. Research and Analysis Assist in preparing papers, presentations, and speeches for internal and external meetings, including conducting horizon-scanning and compiling business intelligence. Other Responsibilities Liaise with senior staff to support the Senior Global Engagement Mobility Manager, Head of International Partnerships, and the Global Engagement Hub. Provide status updates on risks and issues, ensuring these are flagged appropriately. Keep abreast of new technologies that can enhance business processes. Support with any other duties within the scope and grade of the post. Additional Information This position is offered on a fixed-term basis for 10.5 months.
